Aaron Donohoe: Under Pressure

Try to take it all in your stride Aaron.

I suppose I'm probably telling you again what hundreds have already told you, but you might feel overwhelmed at times so it is important not to forget about the big picture.

If you get bogged down trying to study a particular area try not to let it get to you. Move on and then come back to it. Still bogged down? Then still try not to worry.

There is a good chance that you could skirt around the area that are that you may not be comfortable with anyway. Focus on what you know but don't dwell on what you don't know. (if that makes sense!!)

    You'll be fine I'm sure..

    Thanks for the advice Robert.

I'm taking things as they come, in my stride, but when so many things are ongoing at once and each are so demanding it can be quite overwhelming at times.

However, all this subsides when I complete a project, oral or interview, as I know that I'm one step closer to getting over this hurdle and into something which I actually want to do and have an interest in.

The main question for me is what to study. I usually go along merrily until something which I get stuck on completely ruins my train of thought and I just get unmotivated, pissed off and my concentration goes out the window.

Surprisingly, I'm don't actually know how to study, as unlike many other schools, I've never been on a study skills course -- I've just been told I need to put in 4 hours every night and that I should be stressed out! And this was all before Education cuts were even a dirty thought in Cowens mind!

    Aaron.
